Why was it good? Besides the amazing community and excitement that singing generated, the self-confidence the AOSFYC helped me generate had an effect on the rest of my life, especially with the knowledge that I was capable of doing amazing things if I was willing to believe. Why was it a memorable experience? The people. Absolutely the people. Both my friends in the choir itself, and among the counselors, guides, and especially Mr. Snyder. What did you learn? To be proud of myself, and to really love the music. Why should a highschooler consider it? Because it's an experience you'll never forget, and it opens you up to people and events that will stay with you. Because it will teach you a lot about music, and help you expand your own skills, and because you will learn a lot from it. |
