AA Board Candidate: Dean Newsom

Dean Newsom—’64, Europe ‘65: I am a US Navy veteran, currently living in Wadsworth, OH with my wife Miriam. I am co-owner/manager of Loyal Oak Auto Service in Norton, OH. Being in the youth choir was one of the most profound experiences of my life. For me to be with so many really talented young people helped to challenge me to always do the best I could do. I never realized how much it taught me until recently when I revisited the choir on alumni day. Working with the Alumni Association has been fulfilling to me. To make sure that young people have the same opportunity to experience what I did seems the best way to pass on the heritage of this life-changing organization.
