Is it your anniversary?
Alright all you 1964, 74, 84, 94 choir members! We know that a lot of you have been visiting the web page lately. We are hoping anyone with an anniversary this year will make it an extra special time to get together with some of your own alums. We are looking forward to seeing you all alumni day!

Youth Choir Treasures
Have you checked your basement, attic, or closet lately? Do you have any hidden treasures you are willing to share with the alumni association? We are looking for any pictures from your past fair experience or other events the choir has gone to. We would love to take your old uniform or newspaper articles off your shoulder and keep them for our archives. We are hoping to have more things to display when our 50th anniversary comes around. It is closing in on us sooner than you think.

ALUMNI DAY WORKERS NEEDED!
We are always looking for alums to help out Alumni Day. We need helpers for registration so that the burden does not fall on just the officers of this organization. If you could spare ½ or 1 hour of your time Alumni Day, we would greatly appreciate the help.

Please contact Cathy Banfield at: gilbert1505@sbcglobal.net

Lana Bieber

I was a 4 year member of the choir (1996-1999). In 2000 I was a CIT, and in 2001 I became a staff member. I am currently still on staff with the choir. I had the joy of developing and organizing the talent show for the choir, which began 3 years ago. For the past three years I have served on the alumni board. I graduated from Muskingum College, where I served as the choral assistant, an RA, and the president of my sorority. In the fall I will be starting my second year of teaching with Newark City Schools. I'm also a member of the Licking County Players Theatre and NEA.

Beth Holdgreve

Choir - 94-97
Chorale - 96-97
CIT - 98
Staff - 99-present
Currently I am a music teacher at St. Paul Lutheran and St. Augustine Elementary schools in Napoleon, Ohio (band, choir and general music).

Steve Snyder

...was in the choir in '95 and '96, in the Cardinal Chorale in '96, and sang with the European Tour Chorale. He was a CIT in '97, and has been on staff since '98. He's been on the alumni board since '97. He is about to begin his fourth year of teaching music at Ridgewood Middle and High Schools where he teaches choir and is the assistant band director. He is proud to have several students singing in the Youth Choir again this year.

Please let us know if you would be interested in running for the Alumni Board in the future. We are always looking for willing alums to become a more active part of the organization.

2004 AOSFYC Theme
This year’s show is titled “Light a Star,” and was inspired by a line from “The Poet Sings,” one of the ladies’ songs last summer. It was chosen because it is a challenge to all of us to reach out and make a difference. A number of our songs will explore that idea, including Moses Hogan’s “I’ll Make a Difference,” “Waitin’ for the Light to Shine” from the Musical Big River, and the gospel song, “Love Is a Light.” We hope that you take time out of your busy summer schedules to some to the fair and Light a Star with the 42nd edition of the All-Ohio Youth Choir!
