Youth Choir to be featured In National Anthem Project Road Show

The Music Educators National Conference, a national professional organization for music educators is sponsoring a National Anthem Road Show throughout the country this summer as a response to a Harris Poll, which found that two-thirds of Americans do not know all the words to the “Star-Spangled Banner.” Many do not even know what the title of our National Anthem is!

The road show will be stopping at the Ohio State Fair from August 4th-6th. There will be interactive games, displays, a National Anthem singing contest (for soloists), and much more. The AOYC is proud to be performing at the Road Show on Friday, August 4th.

Memorial Trees Planted

For some months, staff member Stephen R. Snyder has been considering a way to honor his father and his grandfather, and the love they shared with their families.

After conversations with the family and the staff at the Expo Center, two red sunset maple trees have been planted by the choir dorm. As they grow, they will provide shade for generations of Youth Choir members, and give witness to these two men whose lives demonstrated their belief in young people and in the All-Ohio Youth Choir: David R. Snyder and Charles Rudyard Snyder.
