Dare to Dream
"In dreams begins responsibility."
William Butler Yeats
Today was the first full day of rehearsals. The first year members were treated to a performance by the 2004 choir. Some of the comments from the audience were "This was amazing!" and "Just Awesome!" Choir members had about one hour of relaxation time before curfew. Many enjoyed snacks out on the lawn.

Carol Wilcox-Jones, Professor of Music at Muskingum College gave a seminar on vocal care to the choir. She demonstrated posture, vocal production and relaxation techniques. Robert Owen Jones, head of the Choral Department at Muskingum offered information about programs availble to musicians at the college.
Student Leaders Selected
Dorm Assistants and Choral Assistants were introduced to the choir at the evening rehearsal. The dorm assistants act as liasons between choir members and the staff, and help make sure that the dorms are clean, safe enviroments for our members. Choral assistants help organize the music lists for sectionals, and assist the section leaders wherever possible. They were awarded pitch pipes and will help give pitches during the daily parade.
