Happy Birthday, Smokey

Another gorgeous day in Columbus, except for the gray clouds over us during the evening concert. It was accompanist Wendy Foster's birthday, and also the birthday of the tallest staff member at the State Fair, Smokey the Bear. The choir marched into ODNR Park and sang "Happy Birthday" and "We Love You Smokey" to the very tall icon. He told the choir that it was his best present of the day. Sparkle the Clown was a guest conductor during the ODNR concert this afternoon. She led the choir in "Heart and Soul." The Voinovich concert this evening marked the 72nd performance, with 59 pieces in the repertoire!
