Alumni Day Schedule: Saturday, August 12, 2006

Make plans now to be a part of the 2006 All-Ohio Youth Choir Alumni Day at the Ohio State Fair. Here's the schedule!


9:00AM to 2:00PM	Registration at the Rhodes Center Auditorium

10:00AM	Alumni Rehearsal at Rhodes Center Auditorium with Mr. Snyder. Songs will include: “Let Freedom Ring” -- Louis Harris “This Is My Father’s World” -- arranged by Paul J. Christiansen “Song of Farewell” -- Irish blessing, arranged by Garry A. Cornell “Friends” -- Michael W. Smith, arranged by Roger Emerson “The Battle Hymn of the Republic” “How Great Thou Art” Music will be available to purchase; if you already have the music, bring it along to brush up on the words.

12:00PM	Lunch. Eat on your own or join the Choir in the cafeteria!

1:00PM	Annual Meeting, Rhodes Center Auditorium
	Glenville Thomas Memorial Concert, Rhodes Center Auditorium

3:00PM	ODNR Concert - 2006 Choir (Possibly more surround sound singing!)

4:05PM	Daily Parade. (Alumni march in uniform behind choir) [see note below]

5:00PM	Auction, Voinovich Lawn (formerly Heritage Park) - click here for Auction items!

6:00PM	Concert at Voinovich Lawn (formerly Heritage Park)

About Alumni Day: As noted in the Alumni Day Schedule, the alumni will again be permitted to march behind the present choir in the daily parade. We hope you will join us again, as we are no longer able to present a Coliseum concert, due to the shortened fair and the many horse judging events.

Please remember, we ask you to look more uniform. The dress for this event is to wear nice jeans or khaki pants/shorts as well as a shirt from the year you were in the choir. Do not fear—you can purchase an Alumni shirt. If there is any question as to if your choir shirt still fits, you probably shouldn’t wear it. (Rule of thumb: What would Mr. Thomas or Mr. Snyder say about it?) The shirts are a red polo with white lettering that reads, “All-Ohio Youth Choir Alumni.” (download order form)

Remember that we are representing a long-standing tradition and we want to show our pride. How awesome will it be to see all the different shirts as well as tell who is an alumnus?

CONCERTS: Though it's not a requirement, we are asking all Alumni to wear their shirts during the Concerts. You will not be turned away if you are not in uniform.
