Hello All-Ohio State Fair Youth Choir Alumni.

I want to welcome you to the new web site look.  I hope you like what we have been working on and that you spread the word to have your friends and family, come and check it out.

It was good to see many of you at Alumni Day this year.  I know that it was a change to have it across the fair grounds at the Janis Center but I hope that it helped to also bring back some memories of when you got to sing in that fantastic building.  I know I remember getting to have pop (soda) for us when our concerts were over and that was back in 1980.

Please send us your ideas, thoughts and pictures for the web site.  This is your site and we want your information to be a part of it.  If you are planning a reunion for your year please let us know and we can post it on here as well as possibly help you get in contact with some of your choir members.

We are always looking for people to volunteer their time for the Alumni Association.  Some of the areas we need help on of course are the web site.  Some of you that are proficient in graphic design and web pages please let us know.  We can use your talents.   Another way you can help out is on our annual dorm cleaning day.  We go to the dorms the Saturday before the new choir moves in and clean and shine the beds, floors and bathrooms.  If you are into other design areas we provide a float for the daily parade at the fair and need people to work on that as well.  If you have a talent that you think we could use let us know.  I am sure we can use it somewhere.

In this time of economic hardship we know that it affects everyone in some way.  It also affects us.  If you are able, please don’t forget to pay your member ship dues.  You can pay it on here or you can mail them in.  These dues help to provide newsletters, this web site, events for the current choir as well as insurance for the choir trailer and other expenses that we have.

We want you to know that all of our Alumni Board meetings are open to any alumni member or friends and family of the choir.  Please contact one of the board members to let us know if you will be attending or want to attend so that we will have enough room for everyone.

I wish you all a great year ahead and hope to see many of you at the fair in August.
