Hello All Alumni and Friends,
As the President of the All Ohio State Fair Youth Choir Alumni Association, I wanted to post a special letter to all of you.
In 1963 when we were established, Glenville D. Thomas had a "Dream" that youth from all over the State of Ohio could gather at the State Fair and sing for all that gathered there. He carried his dream up until his passing in 1991. He poured his whole life and soul into this choir and IT SHOWED!
Then, in 1992, the baton was handed over to Mr. Charles R. Snyder. Over the last 22 years, Chuck took this "Dream" and expanded it to include the OPUS groups and the Cardinal Chorale. His vision was a professional sound and he would not settle for anything less than perfect! As well as Glenville, Chuck poured his whole heart and soul into the AOSFYC and it showed through his countenance and joy he showed while directing the Choir. We want to extend a special "Thank You" to Mr. Snyder for his hard work and devotion! As I have watched Chuck’s tenure as Director through the years, I have seen firsthand his many positive contributions he has made to the Choir.
This last year has been hard on everyone, but as an Alumnus, I know we will all band together and make it through. The AOSFYC was a "Dream" of Glenville's to which Chuck continued very, very well!
As we move to our next Director, let's all put aside any and all differences and remember who we do this for...The Youth of Ohio! We are bigger than any one person and with all of us getting behind our new director our "Dream" can continue. Together we are the All-Ohio State Fair Youth Choir---Ohio's Singing Ambassadors of Goodwill.

When the Cardinal Chorale toured England, France, and Wales in the summer of 1998, one Sunday morning we crossed the Bristol Channel to Wales. We visited Chepstow Castle and Tintern Abbey, and that afternoon sang to visitors at Llandaff Cathedral.
On the eve of the opening of the Fair, the All-Ohio State Fair Youth Choir was honored in butter.
As many of you are aware, the celebration of our fiftieth anniversary is being celebrated over two years. The celebration began this past summer with the Choir’s 50th year at the Fair, and will continue as we celebrate the “calendar anniversary” – 1963-2013 – this coming summer.
